PS store adds new indie section
For many the indie developers are the soul of gaming. Without them we would be missing many original, creative, and fun games that brighten up game collections. So it’s nice to see that Sony are giving the indie developers some extra exposure with their own section in the PlayStation store.
E3 and Conferences
E3 is the world’s premier trade show for computer and video games and related products. Tens of thousands of professionals will experience the future of interactive entertainment. The most influential people leading the most innovative companies in the industry attend E3 to see groundbreaking new technologies and never-before-seen products for computers, video game consoles, handheld systems, mobile and social, and the Internet.
Batman: Arkham Origins announced
Warner Bros. has announced the newest edition to the Arkham series with Batman: Arkham Origins. While the game has not been fully revealed, a few things are known. This title takes Batman back near the start of his superhero career. Before the Dark Knight was the ultimate crime fighter and master detective, he had to begin at the bottom and work his way up. Bringing in villains before they hit the big time will help even the odds against this early Batman. One of these villains is Deathstroke, as seen in the Game Informer magazine cover. Of course Batman still wins. He always wins. He’s Batman.
Disney Shuts Down LucasArts
According to sources close to Kotaku, Disney has laid off the staff of LucasArts and cancelled all current projects, including the amazing Star Wars 1313 shown at E3 last year and Star Wars: First Assault.

Sony Japan: PS Vita sales have increased four-fold
During a One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 presentation yesterday Sony Computer Entertainment Japan president Hiroshi Kawano said the Vita sold four times as many units this week than it did 2 weeks ago, following the handheld’s price cut in Japan.

The evolution of PlayStation
Sony, has released a series of videos via the Playstation YouTube channel over a 5 day period in the run up to the Playstation announcement to take place today, 20th February. The videos briefly cover the history of all its consoles and games. What do you think? Mercenary is the 5th Killzone in the series and the first for the PSV. With Guerrilla Cambridge at the helm, they aim to mix things up a little. The game promises to play more flexible than previous Killzones where you “Choose your tactics” to complete the missions.
