Injustice: Gods Among Us is the Wii U’s only retail release this month
In a perfect world an article like this would never have to go up. Sadly, this is not a perfect world, and there is only one game being released for the Wii U this month. Despite all of the pain and suffering the Wii U has caused gamers.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is a multi-platform title.
The Gaming community cares about the Wii U version so much that there is not even a professional review for it on Metacritic. Happily, from looking at the Microsoft 360 review for it, it is a safe assumption that if you do purchase this game on the much Powerful Wii U, that you will enjoy your purchase. It seems that multi-plate games only land on the Wii U if they are reviewed well. So thank the stars that Injustice did well on the PS3 and 360 or Wii U owners may have missed out on this special occasion as well.
Developers could be doing this for a reason though. According to sales estimates, third party WiiU games have not sold too well as of late. Sure, Lego City has pushed out nearly 200,000 units since it’s release last month, so I must be out of my mind? Usually, you would be right, but when looking at the data closer, we see that The Walking Dead and the new Need for Speed game for the Wii U both Tanked. At this rate they will both be lucky to hit 30,000 units sold by Christmas 2013.
So Wii U gamer’s, I hope you do graciously enjoy Injustice: Gods Among Us. You may have to wait a while before you play any other worthwhile Wii U games again.
Pending decent reviews from 360 and PS3 versions that is…
