Plantronics Gamecom 380 review

380

If you are working with a tight budget for your next PC headset the Plantronics Gamecom 380 comes highly recommended. The headset is back on its features but what it can do it does very well.

The headset is very easy to install with just a line-in and stereo-in jack to plug into your sound card. The device requires no drivers due to it being plug and play. Also, if you’re a Mac user you can also use this headset by purchasing a USB sound-card as we have found that the utility port on a Mac does not support line-in (microphone).

The frame of the headset is very lightweight but it doesn’t feel as if it would snap easily or break if you were to drop it. The headset is very comfortable with its padded cushions and the

gamecom380-911sound quality of the headset is brilliant for the price you pay. It comes packing a pair of 40mm speakers which provide immersive stereo sound with a deep bass. As stated before the sound quality of the device is exceptional and you can also use them for listening to music and chatting online.

For me the most impressive feature is the noise cancelling microphone which reduces background noise. This feature is particularly handy for competitive online play to recording game-play commentaries. Another handy feature with the microphone is that it is totally adjustable.

Adjusting the volume of the headset is easily accessible by simply scrolling your finger up and down on the scroll wheel on the left sided speaker. You can also find the microphone mute switch on this speaker also, which is handy so you are not constantly wondering which speaker controls which function.

The Plantronics Gamecom 380 offers a great headset at a reasonable price. You will be looking to pay between £19.98 and £35 for the headset.
