Styx: Master of Shadows is a new fantasy based stealth game developed by Cyanide Studios for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox One, the game takes place in the universe of ‘Of Orcs and Men’ (the game’s sequel) and inside the ominous Tower of Akenash. Players take control of the first goblin, Styx, as he tries to steal the heart of The World Tree in order to earn himself a small fortune and in the hopes of discovering his origins as the first goblin. Styx is described as being a master of stealth, thievery and murder… How original.

Grid Autosport Preview

Words by Milo Fisher

After the release of the incredibly average street racer Grid 2 last year, Codemasters have been very hush hush with their projects. Now they emerge a year later with Grid Autosport, a racing game that aims to fix all the issues found in the other Grid games while adding even more things to rev your engines at.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle Demo Impressions

Words by Milo Fisher

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is one of my favourite anime out there. It has whacky characters, bombastic battles, manly posing, and a whole lot of people shouting “JOJO!” and “DIO!” at the top of their lungs. It’s bizarre, and it’s wonderful. So when word came about that the fighting game was coming to the west, I was overjoyed with the thought that more people would experience the sheer joy from the game that I felt watching the anime. After playing a good few hours of the new demo that was just released, all I can say is that I want this game more than ever.

Dark Souls II Preview

Words by Milo Fisher

I got the chance to visit Namco Bandai recently to get our hands on Dark Souls II. And after playing the first three hours, I can safely say that it’s just as punishing and rewarding as it’s predecessor, and I rather loved it.

Steamworld Dig Review

Way back in the day, there was an Xbox 360 indie title called Miner Dig Deep, it was a nice relaxing game all about sitting back and working away at a mine. Steamworld Dig is just like Miner Dig Deep, except it has robots, monsters, puzzles, and rocket punches. Oh yes, it has sweet, sweet rocket punches.

State of Decay review

State of Decay is the first game by studio Undead Labs. While the game has a few hiccups here and there, State of Decay is the fantastic zombie game we’ve all been waiting for.

Contrast review

Contrast is an incredibly creative game with so much potential. But a lack of focus and constant amount of bugs keep this game from being something truly magical.

Payday 2 Review

Payday 2 is the newest game from Overkill studios. It’s a fast paced, action packed co op heist game, and one of the best co op adventures we’ve played in ages.

GAME opens an Xbox exclusive store

GAME have recently opened up a new shop in London that exclusively stocks Microsoft products and nothing else. This seems a similar move to what Apple did when they opened stores that only contained Apple products. As to why this store has opened and is exclusive to Microsoft equipment is a bit of a mystery. It could be a tactic to help the launch of the Xbox One which is coming in November.

People have been shouting about the “Family Share” feature since it was announced for the Xbox One and even more so now that Microsoft have scrapped all the DRM plans. We didn’t actually know what it was and what it could exactly do and Microsoft dodged giving us a direct answer and let people hype it up to be what they hoped it would be.

Riptide is an action survival game and the second installment of the Dead Island franchise. Can Dead Island right its wrongs and produce a hit with gamers or will it fall flat on its face again?

Injustice: Gods Among Us review

The last time a game with DC comic book characters met up with Mortal Kombat influence, we were subjected to a rather dull, boring, and mainly bullshit game. Understandably it was an attempt to bring DC into the fighting game genre. We’ve had Marvel based fighting games for a long time, but any foray into the DC universe is met with a resounding failure. The more recent attempts at a DC universe game presence, such as the Batman: Arkham series seems to have put new life into a tired idea. What we get, is a rather pleasant surprise with NetherRealm Studios’ Injustice: Gods Among Us.
